Where these countries do not have the same data protection laws as South Africa, Cirrus TechVue will only transfer the information where the appropriate requirements are met, including where consent has been obtained or where the transfer is necessary for the performance or conclusion of a contract.


Personal information received from third parties

Where Cirrus TechVue receives personal information from a third party on behalf of a data subject, we require confirmation that the necessary consent has been obtained for the information to be shared and processed.

Where information about a third party is provided by a data subject, or a third party provides information about a data subject, that information may be considered together with other personal information held by Cirrus TechVue.


Data breaches

Where there are reasonable grounds to believe that a data subject's personal information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, Cirrus TechVue will notify the Information Regulator and the affected data subject as required by applicable law.

Notification will be made as soon as reasonably possible after discovery of the compromise, taking into account the legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures reasonably necessary to determine the scope of the compromise and restore the integrity of Cirrus TechVue's information systems.
